Now at #11. Expect the backlash to begin right about now, resulting in a drop in rating for the film. Still, a very nice debut for the film, especially considering the stigma that comes attached to that number "3".

And now we're up to #8. Wonder if Pixar has made a backlash free film this time? Or if people just want to see it do well to teach Armond White a lesson. XD

I'm not denying the greatness and overall sky-high quality of the movie in any way, shape, or form, but I think those who grew up with the series had a very pertinent impact. It's just not the same for those who didn't.

I dunno, I didn't necessarily grow up with the movies. I barely remember seeing Toy Story when I was younger and didn't see Toy Story 2 until I was older. I just loved Toy Story 3 for exactly what it was, even if there had never been a 1 and 2 I think this movie would be brilliant.

And now we're up to number 7. Really not sure where this one is going to end up before the inevitable backlash. I'm pretty sure both WALL-E and Up made it to the Top 10 before falling significantly. Aha, found it on Wikipedia. WALL-E made it to #6 before falling. Here's an interesting look at how exactly it fell, too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Movie_DatabaseSoon after its release, WALL-E garnered high ratings from users, eventually pushing it to #6 on the list. Soon afterwards, WALL-E's message board became filled with posts from users urging others to vote it a "1", after which its rating dropped significantly. So yeah, that's how the Top 250 works, get popular then have people hate you for being popular, so I do expect the backlash, the only question remains as to when it starts. As always, it doesn't really matter, the movie will be amazing no matter what happens on IMDb's Top 250. Just an interesting thing to track.

Woah, even after all this time has passed it's still at #7 and a 9.1 on IMDb. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435761/Hats off to it, while I still like WALL-E more it's nice to see Pixar have a film that maintains its much deserved stay near the top for so long.

Nolan movie, though. It will drop to something more reasonable like The Dark Knight eventually did. Though Inception is still a fantastic movie.

Toy Story 3 seems to be down to 12, guess the classic Pixar backlash will effect even it.
