Went to the 9pm viewing this evening, on opening day. Grin

Well..... how do I sum up a movie series  that has been so close-to-heart for almost 15 years? From the begining, I was in a mix of both sheer joy, but also a tang of sadness from knowing it was the end.  It felt like I was walking the road with them, to an unknown destination....

But from the very start, it didn't disappoint. Smiley It was exciting, witty, hillarious and just wonderful to watch. Grin Somehow, they managed to balance keeping it faithful to the first two films, while also introducing great new charactersand locations. Every frame, every sound, music note and word was immensly well done. Smiley

There were a lot of times where the tears flowed, not least at the end. Sad But the joy of seeing them re-united, as they were at the end of TS2, was beautiful.  Rejuvenated! I know that they will be happy together, and that was exactly what I wanted to see.

So... how to rate this? .... well, as some newspapers put it, this is not a perfect film, no film can achieve perfection. Not Avatar, not even WALL-E. Wink But... it made me feel joyeous and inspired, and that really is the goal for a film. Grin And what Pixar has always strove to do, from day one. It's about how it makes you feel, above everything else. Smiley And for that,

10/10  Cheesy  Thank you Pixar, thank you so much!   WALL-E Love

I just went last night while my mother and brother saw Inception for their second viewing (I do wish I seen that movie too)

I don't usually take the time to make long reviews, so I'll be concise as I can.  There was heart.  Plently of heart and love.  The humor is intact.   The cast was perfect, from Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, to Michael Keaton, everyone.  One childhood ended, another opened.

10/10

Oh, I am off to buy a Lotso bear... to lock in a cage and have Teddy Ruxpin guard him!

Get off that hoverchair and go do something original!  I am currently writing a story with the goal of thousands of words.

Proud follower of Christ.  Christianity is not bowing down to Father Almighty.  Christianity is embracing Father Almighty.

...a story be consistent within itself about what is possible and what is not, in the universe defined by the story.  Even when things happen that seem unbelievable to us, we know that they can be real in the context of the story.

The context may not make any sense, but it we watch it anyway knowing that it has something to say to us.
