No one was actually allowed to enter The Garden. City officials had made the historic landmark off limits, and electronic human-proof fences were placed all around it to prevent break-ins. Tourists never understood why, and when the residents told them it was because it belonged to “the robots,” many wouldn’t believe them. According to scholars determined to prove the PLBR (Personality-Like Behavior in Robotics) Theory wrong, “A machine would not be capable of creating such a thing unless it was programmed to do so. And if a fully functioning robot were programmed to tend to gardens, surely it would not do so in such a random and unorganized fashion. Therefore, it is easy to conclude that the phenomenon is a mere hoax concocted by the locals.
Huh? Has everybody forgotten WALL-E and Eve, and how they "rescued" them from The Axiom?

I knew this question would come up sometime. It says in the story that it's approximately 100 years after the Axiom returned to Earth. So of course WALL-E and EVE become heroes. But after a long time they just becomes names in the history books and nobody cares anymore, nor do they know they are still alive. They see WALL-E cleaning trash, but they don't know he's the WALL-E. Because there so many robots around the town doing stuff they don't seem to notice. The humans are too busy being humans. When they landed on earth they were resolved to become better people, and they rebuilt the planet, but their children have become lazy, ignorant, and prideful like their forefathers were 800 years ago.
Thanks for reading my story!

I just barely read it and all I can say is "Wow." It was so beautiful and sweet. ;_; It felt exactly like watching a continuation of the movie. That is exactly what I hoped to find when I signed up on this forum. Thank you so so much for writing that and sharing it. It made me happy.

Well, MD said I could sticky any topic, so I decided to sticky this one. It only seemed proper since this topic is the reason I got to sticky a topic in the first place. Hope no one minds!

The romance in it is amazing and cute, and it all seems to perfectly match what Wall-e and Eve would do. Write some more!

I just have to say, this is one of the few privileged fanfics to get on my Top 3 list of fanfics, a very high honor indeed. I love, the most part, how it shows at the end that Wall-E and Eve share the single greatest bond that one couple could ever share, that of undying love for one another, and that bond is so powerful that you don't need to be married formally, that they show that everlasting bond everyday through that single act of simply holding each other's hand, which is better than saying I Love You....it's almost enough to make you say that words are overrated. And this fanfiction captured the elements of that aspect, and rolled it into a fiction which kept the best in-characterness of any fanfic i've ever read. And I like reading fluff, but this is the one piece that will stick with me for a long, long time. [/mytencents]

Every work of literature needs a dip n' dots metaphor. When will mainstream writers learn from you?
(P.S. loved the fanfic.)
