I don't know anyone in particular who draws them often, though there's plenty of people on deviantART who could make something splendid. I could probably take a crack at it, though I can't say how well it would turn out. xD I just hope that it wouldn't include drawing humans- it's been over a year since I drew the Colony Crisis picture and I still feel spent on drawing them...
Your work there has received many compliments, and I associate your image with the book more than my own writing.
But the
Age of Octans story has no humans. In fact, one notion I have -- of simply one arm carving "Age of Octans" on a sand tablet with a stylus -- wouldn't involve even an entire octan. The stylus and writing would suggest intelligence, and the arm holding it definitely showing "non-human."
I attached an idea for what the carved letters might look like -- they don't write in English, of course, but this would suggest a bit of exotic flavor and still be readable.
